On December 28, Nezuko Kamado from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba received a special trailer in honour of her birthday. The birthdays of Tanjiro Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, and Tengen Uzui were commemorated in this series of special trailers on July 14, September 3, and October 13, respectively. The manga was published by Koyoharu Gotoge in Weekly Shonen Jump from Shueisha.
Tanjiro Kamado, the main character of the series, has a sister named Nezuko. The voice actor for the character in the anime version is Kito Akari (Kata Konoe in the Love Live! franchise and Suzune Horikita in Classroom of the Elite). Koyoharu Gotoge's Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a shonen manga series that ran from February 2016 to May 2020 in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump. It was completed in 23 volumes, with more than 150 million copies in circulation. The first season (Tanjiro Kamado Unwavering Resolve Arc) of the manga-inspired anime produced by ufotable, which has a total of 26 episodes, aired from April to September 2019. The Mugen Train arc was first released as a motion picture and afterwards transformed into a 7-episode TV anime that ran from October to November 2021. The Entertainment District Arc, which ran from December 21, 2021, to February 2, 2022, with 11 episodes, came right after. In 2020, the film The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Mugen Train had its debut.
Viz Media released all 23 volumes of the manga under a licence for English distribution. The first volume's story is described as follows on the official website:
Learning to destroy demons won’t be easy, and Tanjiro barely knows where to start. The surprise appearance of another boy named Giyu, who seems to know what’s going on, might provide some answers—but only if Tanjiro can stop Giyu from killing his sister first!
