The opening and closing theme songs for the Buddy Daddies original animation, "Shock" by Ayase and "My Plan," were both unveiled. The P.A. Works animation studio will debut its first anime in January 2023. The plot, which is being worked on by Nitroplus, features two killers who also happen to be housemates as they struggle to raise a young child.

Kazuki Kurusu is voiced by Toshiyuki Toyonaga, Rei Suwa is played by Koki Uchiyama, and Miri Unasaka is played by Hina Kino. The story revolves around Kazuki, an assassin who enjoys gambling and ladies and has excellent communication abilities. Rei, his roommate and coworker, is the total opposite because she has never experienced love. Miri is a young girl whose father is a mafia boss, in stark contrast to them.
A teaser film and visual aids were used to announce the Buddy Daddies anime in October of this year. In November, the first trailer appeared. The team was made public, and some well-known business figures are on it:
