Solo Leveling Webtoon To Get Side Story in Honor of DUBU

A side tale for the Solo Leveling webcomic will be written in honour of the late artist DUBU (Jang Sung-Rak). He was the Redice Studio's CEO. The story will be illustrated in DUBU's honour, but the plot's specifics are still unknown. On January 21, KakaoPage and Webtoon will debut the side narrative, and every Wednesday after that it will be updated.

According to the studio's statement, DUBU's coworkers gathered to celebrate his legacy since "he was admired by everyone he worked with. While educating a large number of exceptional students and releasing them into the world, he maintained a business and a studio. He was a pioneer of art, a teacher, and a leader. Due to a chronic illness-related brain haemorrhage, DUBU passed away at the age of 37.

The DUBU-drawn Solo Leveling webcomic came to an end last year after 178 episodes and three years of serialisation. The Korean webtoon version debuted in 2018 and ran until 2021 on KakaoPage. It is based on a Chugong web novel, with assistance from h-goon in the adaptation process. By A-1 Pictures, an anime adaptation is in the works.
