Blue Lock Releases the Second Cour Trailer and Key Visual

The second cour of Blue Lock anime has a trailer and key visual that will premiere on January 7. After today's programme, which marked the end of the first half, the information was made public. The series, which made its debut in October of this year, is animated by Studio 8bit. The brand-new opening theme song, "Judgement," will be performed by Ash Da Hero.

The anime is based on a manga created by Yusuke Nomura and Muneyuki Kaneshiro. The manga's English-language publisher, Kodansha, explains the story as follows:

After a disastrous defeat at the 2018 World Cup, Japan’s team struggles to regroup. But what’s missing? An absolute Ace Striker, who can guide them to the win! The Football Association is hell-bent on creating a striker who hungers for goals and thirsts for victory, and who can be the decisive instrument in turning around a losing match … To do so, they’ve gathered 300 of Japan’s best and brightest youth players.
